Dr. Leigh P.
Dr. Leigh Purvis grew up north of Atlanta in Canton, Georgia. She was an avid basketball player growing up, playing in elementary school all through high school. Dr. Purvis attended college at Georgia State University, in Atlanta, Georgia, completing her Bachelor of Science in Biology. She obtained her Doctorate of Optometry at Arizona College of Optometry in 2016. Upon graduation, she won several faculty elected awards honoring her for her clinical excellence in Pediatrics and Vision Therapy. Dr. Purvis completed her postgraduate Residency at Nova Southeastern University- College of Optometry in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where she received advanced clinical training in Pediatrics and Binocular Vision. She completed her Fellowship of the American Academy of Optometry in 2018 and completed her Fellowship in College of Optometrists in Vision Development in 2022. In her spare time she loves spending time with her dog, Dobby, cheering for the Braves, and taking a long Sunday run.
